Looking Ahead to an Exciting, New Program Year!

The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce is making plans for our 2022-2023 program year. Our staff recently met as a team to discuss our values. These values are the measurement that we will evaluate all our Member benefits, programs, and events against.

The values include Members 1st, Chamber Community, Integrity and Fairness, and Meaningful Work. We are evaluating our existing programming against these values but have also defined them in an effort to design new programs and services focused on fulfilling these values and demonstrating value for our Members.

We have so many successful initiatives that we will continue to offer but we are also introducing several new items for this next program year. To continue to offer our same level of quantity and quality of our existing programming we want to make sure that we have all the support we need to do so for our Membership.

So last month we hired a new part-time Member Relations & Engagement Director. It is important to us to provide our Members with all the help they need to guarantee they realize the greatest value from their Membership. Our new hire is Lisa Rawus, and she will be reaching out to our New Members to help them activate their Membership and will be helping the Chamber with our reimagined Ambassador program.

Lisa will also be helping us share our story with businesses that are not yet Members. The TriCounty Chamber has a variety of Member benefits to help meet most businesses’ needs to help them grow and we want as many businesses as possible in the tri-county region to know we are here to support them.

In addition to hiring new staff, it was important, as we move into a new program year, that we recognize the commitment of existing staff. It is my pleasure to announce the promotion of Melissa Shainline. Melissa joined our team in 2012. She has handled the management of our Member database and has provided administrative support to our office. Over the years, Melissa has gained the respect of our Membership as the go-to person for TriCounty Chamber questions. Her administrative responsibilities have also expanded over the years to managing invoicing, processing payments, ordering supplies, negotiating office contracts, managing our technology, and so much more. It is appropriate, at this time in Melissa’s career with the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce to promote Melissa to our Member Services Director and Office Manager. If you know Melissa, please take the time to reach out to her, congratulate her on this promotion, and thank her for the dedication that she demonstrates every day to helping our Membership and helping our team! It is also important to note that Melissa is completing all these tasks for the TriCounty Chamber in 20 hours/week; Melissa also serves as Administrative Assistant for Pottstown Area Economic Development.

Over the next month we will be announcing new programs, upcoming events, and the unique opportunities that we will be offering to our Membership. Stay tuned for my future articles to share all the exciting details! Please always visit tricountyareachamber.com for information on the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce.
