The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of five Chamber Members to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. The 5 new Members of the Board are filling unexpired terms of previous board members. After filling the time frame of the unexpired term, each of these individuals will be eligible to have their name on the ballot to begin serving their own three-year term.

Rich Newell, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce and CEO of Pottstown Hospital Tower Health said, “I am so pleased to be able to welcome these 5 new members to our TriCounty Chamber Board of Directors. The past two years have been incredibly challenging for almost every business in our community. I am proud of the work that the TCACC board and employees accomplished by focusing on the needs of our members. We stayed true to our Mission of leveraging the power of membership to provide valued membership services and proactive leadership for the tri-county region. Eileen Dautrich led the team by focusing on creating connections for our business communities and getting resources where they were most needed. The addition of Amy, Mike, David, Wendy, and Bill will help us continue that service into the future.

The new Board Members include:
Amy Auwaerter, Director of Pottstown Campus Operations, Montgomery County Community College
Michael Gillin, Plant Manager, Limerick Generating Station
David Livengood, Administrative Director, Western Montgomery Career & Technology Center
Wendy Moyer-Drabick, Owner, Moyer-Drabick & Associates, Ltd.

Bill Vitiello, Director of Institutional Relationships & Marketing, Victory Bank

New Board Member, Amy Auwaerter, shared, “It is an honor and my distinct pleasure to serve on the Board of the Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce. I have admired the TCACC commitment to uniting and celebrating Pottstown and the tri-county region for which they serve. I am looking forward to representing Montgomery County Community College and to getting involved in the many new opportunities with the TCACC as we Build Communities, Create Connections and Support Commerce.”

Our ballot for Board Members nominated to serve a term beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2025, will be sent to the membership this spring. I am extremely excited for the impact that new board members can have with new ideas and providing valuable feedback that helps represent the needs and wants of the rest of the membership. The Board has developed a 2022 Action Plan and I am anxious to complete those documented goals with the help of the entire board and staff.

The key focus areas of the 2022 Action Plan include improving our regional footprint, focusing on targeted marketing, reframing our programs and services to differentiate ourselves and invest in leadership development for the tri-county region.

The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the O’Pake Fellows – a group of undergraduate and graduate students supported by Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute – for researching our organization and our membership data to help draft and develop this action plan.
