Why Join? Why Join? TriCounty Area Chamber Of Commerce

Why Should You Join the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce?

• The Chamber's business is to be an advocate for your company - and for the community - creating a climate of growth and success that benefits all.  The Chamber connects business to government and civic leaders to make our communities better places to live, work, and play.

• TCACC is the largest Chamber in the tri-county area, representing nearly 500 businesses that employ over 15,000 people throughout the region.  A research study* by the Schapiro Group reports that
63% of consumers are more likely to buy goods and services from a company they believe to be a member of the local chamber of commerce.

• Almost
90% of TCACC’s Members are small businesses (less than 50 employees), allowing us to gear our programming to what our Members want and need.

• As a TCACC member you receive up to 5 listings on the online Membership Directory, as well as a listing in the printed Directory that is distributed to businesses, residents, and visitors.  A mobile app is also available so your information can be found “on the go”.

• According to the Schapiro Group study*,
59% of businesses are more likely to buy goods and services from a business that is a member of the local chamber of commerce.  With over 60 events a year, TCACC enables you to connect with fellow Chamber Member businesses on a regular basis.

• TCACC endorses numerous Member Affinity and discount and savings programs that provide savings to our Members.

• The Chamber’s Annual Business Equipment Recycling Day allows Members to properly dispose of outdated electronics – for free!

• Our Coupon program enables you to increase your sales by offering money-saving discounts to the general public or fellow Chamber Members via our online program.

• The Chamber only refers Chamber Members to companies or individuals seeking business information in the tri-county area.  You can login to the Members Only section of our website to see exactly how many times your company was referred!

• Chamber staff,  with a combined 30+ years experience in the chamber field, including two with IOM Graduate Recognition, are your resource for Chamber and community information.

The Schapiro Group study* also found:
   • When consumers know that a business is a member of the local chamber, they are 44% more likely to think
     favorably about it.
   • Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51% more likely to be highly aware of it
and 57% more likely to think positively of its local reputation.

The study also has good news for businesses that sell to other businesses.
   • When business decision-makers believe that a business is a chamber member, they are 37% more likely to
think favorably of the business, 51% more likely to be highly aware of it, 58% more likely to think positively of its
local reputation, and 59% more likely to buy goods and services from it.

The results of the Schapiro study are clear:  Positive perception increases among consumers and business owners when a business is identified as a member of the local chamber of commerce.
