The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce (TCACC) Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2002 to promote community and workforce development in western Montgomery, southeastern Berks, and northern Chester Counties.  An affiliate of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce, the Foundation solicits funds from Chamber Member businesses to support community development and leadership programs.  The Foundation also provides funding for initiatives that support the vocational career development needs of the community.  The following initiatives are sponsored by the TCACC Foundation:

Leadership Tri-County
This program sustains community participation and involvement by training and providing new and emerging business leaders with the expertise to serve on the boards of local nonprofit organizations.  Participants attend ten monthly, full-day sessions, each focused on a topic that addresses the needs of the community.  The outcomes of the program include class participants working together to complete a project that will benefit the tri-county area nonprofit community.  In addition, upon graduating from the program, each participant serves on a board or committee for a local nonprofit organization.  To learn more about Leadership Tri-County click here.

Educational Improvement Organization (EIO)
The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. has been approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to receive monies from businesses under Act 4 of 2001, which amended the Public School Code to authorize tax credits for businesses that make contributions to educational improvement organizations.  Designated as an EIO by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the TCACC Foundation, Inc. funds vocational career development programs for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in Chamber Member public school districts.  These programs are designed and implemented by area educators and approved by the Foundation’s Advisory Board.

Businesses may contribute to the Foundation’s EIO program by providing career information, training, resources, and/or monetary donations.  Under PA public school code, businesses who donate funds to an EIO are eligible to receive 75 to 90 percent PA state tax credits on contributions up to $300,000.  For more information about tax credits, visit www.newpa.com/eitc.
